Description

This knife design by Craig Caudill and built by Outlier Knife Company is inspired by campfires, creeks and campouts.

Rob "Filo" Cabrera of Oultier asked me to design a classic "camp" knife to add to Outlier's growing inventory of fine-quality blades.  Immediate thoughts went to boyhood and teenage excursions in Clark County Kentucky near Lulbegrud Creek.  I grew up doing overnight "survival" trips with family and friends there "back in the day".  Much like Daniel Boone did back in his day.

The name of Lulbegrud Creek  was given by Daniel Boone himself during one of his many forays into the untamed frontier of Kentucky.  This knife is intended to be an excellent choice for camp chores like cleaning fish, processing wild game and general camp setup and such.  This knife is purposely small and nimble in the hand.   You will find it equally useful in processing a deer, squirrel or smallmouth bass. Cutting baling twine to feed cattle, or slicing some tulip poplar shavings for a fire are well within its multi-use ability.  These are all things I used similar knives for many years.
