Inspired by the American Long-Knife Tradition
The Shemanese takes inspiration from the long knives carried on the early American frontier. Watch video for some of the details.
For generations, woodsmen, hunters, scouts, explorers, and settlers depended on a relatively small collection of tools. A dependable belt knife needed to handle far more than one job.
It had to cut.
Carve.
Prepare food and game.
Process wood.
Assist with fire preparation.
Repair equipment.
And handle the countless everyday tasks that come with living and traveling outdoors.
The Shemanese carries that traditional long-knife concept forward using modern AEB-L stainless steel, modern heat treatment, and the craftsmanship of LT Wright Handcrafted Knives.
It is a traditional idea refined for the modern outdoors.

Built to Be Used
The Shemanese has made an excellent addition to many collectors' displays, and we are thankful for that. However, this blade is built to be used, too. Don't be shy about putting it to work.
Use it.
Sharpen it.
Let the Micarta darken from years of work and the blade collect the marks that come from actual time in the field.
That's what it was designed for.
Handcrafted by LT Wright Handcrafted Knives. Designed by Craig Caudill. Built for people who rely on their gear.
