Instructor — Survival, Tracking, Medical, and Wildlife Skills
James Neyhouse joined Nature Reliance School in 2022 and quickly became an integral part of the instructional team. A Game Warden with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, James brings knowledge and experience in wildlife behavior, conservation, and field safety.
He holds a Master’s degree in Education, an EMT certification, and is a Hunter Safety Instructor for the State of Kentucky, which make him uniquely equipped to blend advanced technical knowledge with clear, effective teaching.
James enjoys leading a wide variety of courses at NRS, including Survival 1–3, Land Navigation, Scout Tracker, Nature Immersion, SERE, Tactical Mantracking, Wilderness First Aid, and specialized government training for first responders. He also contributes to NRS’s Intro to Hunting course, where his professional wildlife experience shines.
Known for his calm, approachable teaching style, James helps students build both skills and confidence, while fostering a deeper respect for the natural world.
