Come join us for a day of building, managing and extinquishing fires in as a many ways as time and your effort allows. We will start with a look at the science of the fire triangle and transition into practical use of the following

  • Primitive ignition sources (including bow drill and hand drill)
  • Modern Fuel Sources
  • Natural materials for fuel
  • Sourcing and utilizing materials that are damp or wet, including how to build fire in the rain
  • Managing fire for warmth, tool building and cooking (we will cook some food over fire)
  • Splitting, batoning, fire sticks and more wood prep
  • Survival fire for all-night warmth
  • How to extinguish fire properly with safety and stewardship in mind
