This class will definitely assist you in seeing more things around you in a wilderness setting.
Scouting and Tracking were an incredible backbone of skills used by frontiersmen and explorers of what we now call the United States. They are just as important and vital to be more aware of the outdoors. In this course, you will learn
- Fundamentals of track awareness and how to find more sign heavily focused on human tracking
- Interpreting tracks and other sign of humans and animals.
- Aging tracks and sign
- Camouflaging and proper recon of an area
- How to systematically view and analyze an area for things that most people miss.
- (NEW) Practical testing of tracking and observations skills in a wilderness environment. To develop a standard of expectations from NRS trackers.
Naturalists, biologists, law-enforcement, and military personnel can use these and other associated skills to be more aware in a wilderness setting. Tracking and camouflaging are a science that can be systematically studied and developed. Anyone can be a tracker with the right motivation, instruction and desire to learn.
