Long Bushcraft Survival Knife – Bright Forest Forge

Long Bushcraft Survival Knife – Bright Forest Forge

Hand-forged knives are a thing of the past for many.  For the rest of us they can be a unique and incredibly special tool.  For those that enjoy custom gear items, a hand-forged knife is a great way to have something no one else has.

Bright Forest Forge, located in Wisconsin is an incredibly unique forge.  The tools being made there cover two different purposes with historical significance.

Many of the tools are designed and forged for woodsmanship, bushcrafting and similar pursuits.  Others are crafted for those that appreciate Japanese budo and similar interests.

Watch this video as we utilize a new blade that is now being made at Bright Forest.  This particular style of blade has incredible significance in the founding or America.  Particularly the frontier of Kentucky.  Some of its use in history is also discussed in the video.  We demonstrate its use as a self-defense tool, draw knife, and as a wood-digging tool.
