Description

The Nature Reliance School Family Reunion

The NRS Rendezvous is not just a class. It is a gathering of the tribe.

This event is our annual Nature Reliance School family reunion where alumni from our courses come together to learn new skills, reconnect with friends, meet new training partners, and spend a few days surrounded by people who speak the same language of skills, mindset, and self-reliance.  This is also open to anyone that wants to attend, not just alumni.

If you have ever taken an NRS class, this event is for you.  If you have never taken an NRS class, this event is for you.

What to Expect

The Rendezvous is a relaxed but skill-focused event where you will rotate through a variety of mini-classes and workshops taught by NRS instructors and special guests. Subjects change each year, which means no two Rendezvous events are ever the same.

You may find yourself learning:

  • New bushcraft skills
  • Tree and Plant ID
  • Advanced fire techniques
  • Tracking and awareness exercises
  • Navigation challenges
  • Gear skills and field repairs
  • Primitive skills
  • Wilderness problem solving
  • Team challenges
  • And other skills we are currently excited about teaching

Just as important as the training is the community. Many students say the best part of the Rendezvous is reconnecting with people they have trained with before and building new friendships with like-minded people.

Giveaways and Prizes

One of the most fun parts of the Rendezvous is the giveaways.

Vendors and partners donate a large number of products for us to give away throughout the event. We also include class giveaways, so there are many chances to go home with great gear.

But that is not the main prize.

The Final Challenge – Best of the Best

The highlight of the NRS Rendezvous is the final test.

At the end of the event, participants can compete in a multi-skill challenge designed to test a wide range of Nature Reliance School skills. This event combines mindset, skills, problem solving, and field ability.

This is where you prove yourself.

The winner earns serious bragging rights and takes home a major prize that is different every year and always worth competing for.

Who Should Attend

This event is designed for:

  • Nature Reliance School alumni
  • Those interested in starting courses with NRS
  • Past students of any NRS class
  • Online members who want to meet instructors and students
  • Families and spouses who want to experience the NRS community
  • Anyone who wants to continue building skills in a fun and challenging environment

More Than a Class

The NRS Rendezvous is part training, part competition, part reunion, and part celebration of the skills and community we have built together over the years.

If you have trained with us before, this is where you come back, sharpen your skills, reconnect with friends, and see how far you have come.

We hope to see you there.
